Assessment Tools: Adaptability – Self Assessment for Global Endeavors (SAGE)

• Self-assessment of readiness or suitability for international assignment a tool for self-selection into, or out of, a candidate pool of employees

The SAGE and the SAGE for Spouses are based on psychological traits considered important for successful adaptation to unfamiliar environments and designed to evaluate suitability and motivation. This type of instrument is not recommended as a decision-making tool for Human Resources. It is best used confidentially by candidates for international assignment before an assignment has been proffered. While the SAGE is not linked specifically to the nature of the assignment nor to the destination, its results should be considered within that larger context. The SAGE can be used in conjunction with cultural training.
